English Description
This course can be considered as an overview on Computer Music as an
interdisciplinary field of researchand application. Lectures will be
given on "sound" as physical and perceptive phenomenon, on mathematics
and physics of traditional music and musical instruments, on
representation and processing of audio signals,
on methodologies of analysys of natural sounds and generations of
synthetic sounds.
The course also details how to analyze and synthesize sounds and musical
structures pointing out techniques and
languages for using a personal computer to write and create original
musical compositions.
