Obiettivi di apprendimento
Thecoursewillenablethestudenttoproduceand/orappropriatelyusesoftwaretools for the support to complex decisions (mainly at the corporate/industrial level) based onmathematicaloptimizationtechniques. Thecourseisfocussedonpracticalaspects of these tools. The main aim is to familiarize the students with the speci?c computer scienceaspectsoftheseactivities, suchasdatapreparationandvalidation, thedevelopmentofcomplexmathematicalmodels, theknowledgeableuseofthecorresponding solution algorithms, the impact on this process of data uncertainty and the available methodologies to tackle this problem.
